BLS for Healthcare Providers This course is taught in a practice-while-you watch format.
Using the AHA 2020 guildlines for Emergency Cardiovasular Care (ECC) and Cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
You will learn the following skills:
- One and two-person CPR consisting of:
High-quality chest compressions
Effective ventilations with a barrier device - Importances of early AED use
- The valve and importantce of good team dynamics
- Relief of airway obstruction in responsive and non-responsive victims
Target audience: Medical Professionals: doctors, nurses, nursing students, nurse’s aides, and assistants, EMTs, paramedics, and firefighters
Cost: $55 for non-residents. $30 for people who live or work in Gates, Spencerport or Ogden.
Please bring proof of residency or employment to the class and a copy of your payment receipt.
The card issued is valid for 2 years. Length of course: 3-4 hours
Heartsaver CPR and AED This course is an instructor-led practice-while-you-watch format.
Using the AHA 2020 guildlines for Emergency Cardiovasular Care (ECC) and Cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
You will learn the following skills:
- Single-rescuer CPR consistig of:
High-quality chest compressions
Effective ventilations with a pocket mask - Importances of early AED use
- Relief of airway obstruction in responsive and non-responsive victims.
**The course is not for healthcare providers**
Target audience: Scout leaders, daycare workers, lifeguards, security guards, or people who need a general CPR class.
Cost: $55 for non-residents, $30 to people who live or work in Gates, Spencerport or Ogden.
Please bring proof of residency or employment to the class and a copy of your payment receipt
The card issued is valid for 2 years. Length of course: 3-4 hours
Prior to enrolling in a CPR class please consult the "Child Care Council" to confirm what certification is required for your Child Care/Daycare center.
You will learn the following first aid skills:
- First aid basics including scene safety, finding the problem and calling for help.
- Medical emergencies for example Stroke, breathing problems, allergic reactions.
- Injuries bleeding control, broken bones, burns
- Environmental emergencies for example; bites, stings, and temperature-related and poison emergencies
- Heartsaver CPR and AED as listed in the section above
Target audience: Scout leaders, daycare workers, lifeguards, security guards
Cost: $110 for non-residents, $60 for people who live or work in Gates, Spencerport or Ogden.

The card issued is valid for 2 years.
Length of course: 4-6 hours. Most sessions do not include a lunch break, due to this, we recommend a small quiet snack.
K-12 Heartsaver CPR/AEDThe K-12 Heartsaver course has the same format and information as listed under Heartsaver CPR/AED. The AHA created this card to provide a cost-effective way to train the next generation of lifesavers in the school system. The difference is the look of the card.
Target audience: Facility (teachers and coaches), staff (employees of school/school system), and students.

What you will need at your location:
- Onsite audio/visual equipment to present the needed material to the class. There must be a minimum of a TV/DVD player with sound or computer/laptop with a projector and sound and WIFI/internet
- We require an open space to perform the hands-on portion of the class
- There is a 4 person minimun per class, but maximum of 7 students to maintain social distancing.
- There is a $150.00 off-site set up fee for all classes, both residents and non-residents.
